Hi, everyone! It’s Lynnea and I’m so excited to bring you my first project for ThermOWeb! Saint Patrick’s Day will be here soon and what better way to celebrate than with the new Rainbow Shattered Glass Foil from DecoFoil! This AMAZING new foil will be available very soon! (we promise!) I’ll have product links and a video tutorial for you at the end of this post!

Add a Deco Foil Rainbow Touch to St. Pat’s Card

I know this is our first time getting to know each other, but I am a HUGE fan of using up every last bit of my crafty supplies! I don’t like to waste any of the pretty things that I have haha! That being said – this single card project turned in to three because I thought of some simple ways to use up my “leftovers”!

St. Pat’s Rainbow Card

Let’s start with the card that I actually intended to make! I grabbed the Rainbow Shattered Glass foil from DecoFoil ( coming soon! ) and I knew I wanted it to be my focus product.

When I think of St. Patrick’s Day I think of four-leaf clovers – but can you believe I don’t have a single clover themed product in my stash?! No matter – I’ll improvise! I used the leaf die from the Gina K Designs Petals and Wings Stamp n Stencil die set ( also coming soon! ) and some Double-Sided Transfer Foam Adhesive Sheets from DecoFoil and die cut a BUNCH of leaf shapes.

Since the foam adhesive is double-sided, I removed the top backing layer and stuck it down onto the Rainbow Shattered Glass foil and when I peeled off the leaf die cut it was covered in the gorgeous foil! I made sure to put my die cut leaves all over the sheet of foil so that I could get the full rainbow effect! I removed the back layer and I was able to stick my foil covered foam die cuts all over the front of my card. The foam sheets are thin enough that they die cut beautifully but thick enough that they give gorgeous dimension! I wanted to add some green to add to my celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, so I stamped the butterfly image from the Gina K Designs Stamp n Stencil Petals and Wings stamp set ( coming soon! ) and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I used iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive to glue the butterfly images as well as my sentiment strips onto the card.

St. Pat’s Card #2

Here’s my first bonus project that I created to use up some of my “leftover” foil! Remember for the first card I die cut a bunch of leaf shapes from some Double-Sided foam adhesive from DecoFoil? When I was done I had about a 6×6 inch piece of double-sided foam with a bunch of leaf shapes die cut from it. I pressed that piece of foam onto a sheet of the Rainbow Shattered Glass Foil and then I was left with what you see on the front of this card – a thin plastic sheet with leaf shapes! I grabbed my iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive and ran the glue all around the outside of the clear plastic foil sheet as well as behind the foil leaf shapes and glued it to the front of my card.

The Ultra Bond Adhesive dries ABSOLUTELY clear! I LOVE it! You can’t even tell that there’s glue behind the plastic sheet of foil! And believe me – my glue oozed out from behind the leaves and I even added glue right to the clear portions of the plastic! I had a few leftover butterflies that I had stamped with the Petals and Wings Stamp n Stencil set from Gina K Designs ( coming soon! ) so I added one with some Foam Squares from Gina K Designs as well as a sentiment banner strip.

Happy St. Pat’s Day Card #3

Here’s my last card! It’s the simplest and easiest one! I had one die cut leaf and one butterfly left from my previous projects, so I used some Gina K Designs White Foam Squares to adhere them to the front of my card along with a stamped sentiment strip.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards! You can watch my process video below!
