In the past I struggled with ways to adhere ribbon. I’ve tried lots of different methods, but it wasn’t until I saw Therm O Web Sticky Lines that I had an A HA moment! If you have not tried these before, they are basically elongated, thick Zots.

They are twelve inches long and come in 1/2 or 1/4 inch thickness. Since I had never used them before I thought I would show how easy and SO necessary these are to add to your stash of adhesive if you are a ribbon fanatic.  I made a last minute, quick and easy Halloween card. Here are the basic supplies you will need– some cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, Therm O Web Sticky Lines in 1/2″ thickness and Therm O Web  Memory Tape Runner XL to adhere your paper.

I started by lining up the Sticky Lines where I wanted to place the ribbon and trimming it with nonstick scissors to that length.

Next, I gently pulled off one side of the plastic backing to expose the Sticky Line.

Then I laid the exposed side of the Sticky Line down onto my card.

Next I lifted off the top plastic backing…

and finally, I pressed the ribbon onto the exposed adhesive.

When you adhere ribbon with Therm O Web Sticky Lines, you do not have to wrap the ends behind paper! AND you don’t need to worry about the ribbon falling off–Sticky Lines are REALLY sticky and that ribbon is NOT going anywhere!

One last quick tip before I go…I wanted to add a few bits of bling to my card, but the bling I wanted to use was VERY old and the pearls were coming away from the adhesive. Therm O Web Zots for Bling to the rescue!

They are just as strong as regular Zots but in a teeny tiny size, small enough to hide behind little pearls.

Here’s to adhering ribbon without stress and using up those old no longer sticky pearls! Happy Halloween!

🙂 Rebecca
