Adore Mixed Media Wedding Gift Tag with Brutus Monroe

by Heather Collins

Weddings.  They bring out a ton of emotions in people.  Some good, some bad.  Everyone gets excited about giving that perfect gift.  And along with, that perfect card.  A few years ago I started making tags as my card.  This was something different from everyone else’s gift of the day.  I don’t put it in an envelope but attach it to the gift.  I really like how it looks.

Mixed Media Gift Tag

To get started I took one the Brutus Monroe Laser Cuts Chipboard – Jumbo Tags – Scalloped Edge and paired it with the Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets Cross Hatch.

Then I ran one of the white Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets Cross Hatch and Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets Gold Static through my Minc.  I cut the Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets Cross Hatch to the shape of the tag.

Afterward, I did some ink blending using Brutus Monroe Surface Inks Oz and Cabbage.  I used doubled sided tape and taped around the inside edges of my tag and with needing a machine I applied and rubbed Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets Gold Static.  I roughed up the edges of the foiled Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets – Cross Hatch, tearing in a few places.  Then attached the two sides together.

Then using Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink and Embossing Powder Gilded I treated some chipboard pieces I had on hand. I also embossed the Brutus Monroe Special Day and Tux pieces and colored.  Then using some iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive I put my items on top of the tag.  Lastly, I finished the tag off with some ribbon.  This is the perfect personalized tag for that special day.
