Hey there, friends! Missy here, and I’m sharing a new layout today featuring the awesome iCraft Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel. If you’ve never used it, it’s like a smooth paste with a thick glue-like consistency. My favorite way to use it is to smooth it over a stencil using a palette knife. For this page, I used a star stencil from my stash. Let me know you just how easy it is to create a dimensional, star-studded layout like this with Deco Foil Transfer Gel!

Always Fun Layout Instructions:
I used a sheet of the Gina K White Cardstock and smudged the Transfer Gel over the stars. After it completely dried, I used some of the iCraft Deco Foil™ in Summer Rainbow and a sheet of the Gina K.™ Designs Fancy Foils in Turquoise Sea. I laid the foil on top of the stars (foil side up), covered it with some parchment paper and ran it through my Laminator. It’s like magic peeling back the foil and seeing the gorgeous metallic stars! I fussy cut them out so I could arrange them around the page behind my photo.
My photo is of me and my sister in Vegas, so these shiny stars were perfect to add some Vegas bling! I love the ombre gradient from pink to yellow to orange and gold…so gorgeous. On my background, I pulled a 12×12 sheet of white cardstock from my stash and added lot of spray inks, including Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The more gold the better, right?! I also used some pink and blue. I wanted the inks to show through and around the photo and all the stars. I also did a lot of splattering. I used a few shiny gold flair buttons on the layout as well.
Photos don’t do this shine justice. It is really beautiful when the light hits it. I machine stitched through three of the larger blue stars with metallic gold thread. I love how this turned out!
I added in some metallic gold thread under my photo here and on the other side. I pulled some metallic gold Thickers from my stash and added those in. I am just in awe of this star…isn’t it just gorgeous?
Here you can really see the metallic sheen from the foils. I used some gold glitter Thickers from my stash for a simple title at the bottom and added in some Xs from the other sheet of gold Thickers. I even used a metallic gold pen for my journaling 🙂
I hope you are inspired by this and all these gorgeous foils! You really must try the Transfer Gel because you create any shape you want, and you don’t even have to use a stencil. The possibilities are endless! I do have a process video for you, so you can see step-by-step how I used all these products.
