Hi again, It’s Amy from Sew Incredibly Crazy.  I am so glad that I get to participate in my first ever Christmas in July and play with these pretty Christmas prints.

Let it snow 5

With these sweet little fabric, I made my first Christmas quilt.

Thermo July 15 Jingle 1

And with few Therm-O-Web products you can add a little bling to any project.    I used the following:

Let it Snow 4

iCraft® Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive

iCraft® DECO FOIL™ Red

iCraft® DECO FOIL™ Lime

iCraft® DECO FOIL™ Gold

iCraft® DECO FOIL™ Iridescent

HeatnBond® Lite

Thermo July 15 Jingle 3

I used HeatnBond® Lite to add Let it Snow to the outer border of the quilt and also to the larger fabric snowflakes.

Thermo July 15 Jingle 2

For the corner snowflakes, I used  Deco Foil™  in the corner of the quilt.   I made a snowflake template and traced it onto the paper side of the iCraft® Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive sheet and cut it out with scissors. Next, I ironed Deco Foil™ on to the Hot Melt Adhesive Sheet.Let it snow

Lastly, I ironed the foil onto the Hot Melt Adhesive.  I followed the same steps to add the decorative circles on the fabric snowflakes.  On larger projects,  I suggest that you add the Foil after you have finished your quilting.

I hope I inspired you to add a little extra bling to even your larger quilting project and

Merry Christmas in July!!

Christmas is my favourite holiday by far. I love to sew Christmas items and sew a Christmas ornament each year to give to my family and friends. And, of course, I love Christmas fabric!

I consider any day that I get to see my grandson (which is only about twice a year) to be a holiday, and those are my favorites!

    I love Christmas, of course.
But the real reason I’m so excited about the foil product is because I have a military ribbon quilt I’m working on & I was wondering how I would create the metallic devices… Problem solved! Thanks!

I didn’t know you could use the foil
on material! Very pretty quilt. I
love all the holidays, but I guess
