Colours Of Autumn Mixed Media Frame Instructions:

Paint a Mini Frame with beige coloured paint and age with brown stain.  Let the paint dry completely and then apply Deco Foil adhesive over the raised design on the frame with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen.  Leave to dry till tacky (only takes a minute or two) and burnish on Copper Deco Foil Transfer Sheet with a soft cloth.

Cut a piece of cardstock to size and ink it with several shades of blue water-based inks, spritzing with water if desired and adding some white water-based stain here and there with a balled up kleenex to soften the design.  Adhere the prepared cardstock onto the Mini Frame back piece with iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive.

Preheat your laminator and foil the Wilderness Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheet with Copper Deco Foil Transfer Sheet.

HINT:  don’t ever throw out the negative images left on your Deco Foil Transfer Sheets!  Simply apply some iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive to a piece of cardstock (Gina K. Designs Premium Cardstock works great for this application), peel off the backing paper from the Easy-Cut Adhesive and place the Deco Foil Transfer Sheet over top.  Burnish well with a soft cloth, peel off the Deco Foil carrier sheet and you have a beautiful piece of foiled cardstock ready for your next project!  (No idea where I’m going to use this piece yet but I love it!)

Back to the project!  Cut the foiled Wilderness Clear Designer Toner Sheet to size so that it covers the back panel of the Mini Frame.  Apply a line of iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive just around the edges of the Mini Frame panel and lay the Wilderness Toner Sheet over top.  Allow to dry thoroughly.

Apply more iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive to the back of the painted and foiled frame and center it on top of the back panel.  Let dry thoroughly.

Select four Alpha Dice to spell the word ‘fall’, age them with a brown stain and adhere the dice to the bottom right corner of the frame.

Colour a piece of cardstock with green water-based ink (this is Olive Tree Infusions from Paper Artsy that also has walnut crystals in it).  Die cut the coloured cardstock with the Layered Leaf die and emboss the die cut with the coordinating Layered Leaf embossing folder.  With the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen, carefully apply adhesive to all of the raised embossed areas on the leaf.  Let the adhesive dry for about a minute and then place the leaf back into the embossing folder with a piece of Copper Deco Foil Transfer Sheet over top.  Close the folder and run it through your die cutting machine again to transfer the Copper Deco Foil to the raised embossed areas on the leaf.  Tie a Typed Token around the stem of the leaf with a piece of jute twine (I aged this ‘found’ Typed Token with some Mushroom Alcohol ink).

If desired, select a fall themed sticker from the Occasions Small Talk sticker set, inking the sticker with a blue ink to marry it into the background, edging it with a bit of brown ink.

Select some fall coloured scrapbook papers from your stash or colour bits of cardstock with fall coloured inks.  Punch out several leaf shapes and arrange them along the bottom of the prepared frame.

Adhere the foiled leaf onto the middle of the frame with ICraft Mixed Media Adhesive (I bumped mine up on some pieces of black fun foam for a bit of dimension), add the fall themed sticker and your Colours Of Autumn mixed media frame is complete.  Here are a few close-up pictures.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how it came together and that you’ve been inspired to create your own fall home decor piece with these wonderful Deco Foil products.

Thank you for stopping by today and happy creating!
