Create a Perfectly Patchy Dresden Sunflower Pillow Instructions:

Create the back for the sunflower.  Sew 2 units of 9 – 2 1/2″ blocks and 2 units of 11.  First sew the 9 block units to the top and to the bottom.  Next, sew the 11 block units to the right and left side.

Make 20 – 8″ Dresdens using the template.  Follow the instructions on the back for the Dresden found with the template.

Make a quilt sandwich with a piece of batting and a backing piece 24″ square.  Spray a light mist of SpraynBond® Basting Adhesive to the back of the Dresden created.  Center it on the pillow top.

Applique stitch around the sunflower using a coordinating Aurifil thread.

Using the HeatnBond Lite draw a circle on the smooth side. Iron the circle to the wrong side of the brown fabric.

Cut out the circle and iron it to the center of your sunflower.  Applique stitch around the edge of the sunflower center.  Add buttons to the center of the sunflower.

Finish creating either a pillow or a wall hanging.

Enjoy a sweet little decoration to add to your home.
