Hi Therm O Web fans!  It’s Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue to share a couple of projects for our swap with Jillibean Soup.  I will have to admit, Jillibean Soup is one of my favorite companies, so I was pretty excited about these!  First up I am sharing a layout with the Bohemian Brew collection, paired with some Deco Foil products.

Love My Tribe Layout Instructions:

Turn laminator on and warm for at least 15 minutes on the 5 mil setting.

Cut a piece of white cardstock 10 inches by 4.75 inches.  Cut a piece of the Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheet in Pinstripe the same size, making sure to trim off the clear edges first, before measuring your cuts.  Using Purple Tape, adhere edges of cardstock down to your working surface and place Clear Toner Sheet on top matching up edges.  IMPORTANT-Make sure your clear toner sheet is right side u, if you don’t the stripes will be going the wrong way when you foil them.

NOTE: I started to pencil where the stripes were, but I found out that didn’t work, you can see my pencil marks below and this is why the clear toner sheet was shifted down. I moved them to be even after this and also just used the Purple Tape on the two corners of the cardstock and then on one side of the clear toner sheet.

Use the striped paper in the collection and trim the stripes the width that they are printed. These will fit in between the clear areas of the Clear Toner Sheet.  Arrange patterns to your liking.

Leave one side of the clear toner sheet taped down with Purple Tape, so that you can lift it to the side.  Use the Memory Runner XL and apply adhesive to the back of the paper strip, lift the clear toner sheet and adherethe strip to the cardstock, making sure to center between the stripes. Work thru all the larger open areas of the stripes.

Once paper strips are adhered to your cardstock, then trim them using your paper trimmer or scissors to make them even with the cardstock.

Foil your clear toner sheet with the Summer Rainbow Deco Foil.  Use two piece of foil and place then where the stripes of the foil are running the same at the clear toner sheet.  Hold in place with Purple Tape.

This would have also been pretty with the Watercolor Deco Foil, but I wanted to bring out the pink in the picture.

Cut a piece of cardstock 10 inches square and adhere the cardstock piece with the strips of pattern paper on it, then apply the foiled Clear Toner sheet on top of that piece with the Memory Runner XL, lining up carefully.  Now, cut a piece of pattern paper 10 inches by 5.25 inches and adhere next to your foiled stripes. Use three doilies and cut in half and adhere them on top of the foiled piece, lining up edges.  Trim a paper strips 10.5 inches by about 1.75 inches and adhere over the top of the seam where everything meets.

Using the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive apply to the back of your die cuts and title.  You can use one layer or stack and use two layers of foam adhesive, depending on the look you are going for.  Using the 3D Foam Strips attach them to the back of the 10 inch square, center square and adhere to background paper choice.

Love Is A Four-Legged Word Hanging Canvas Instructions – No Sew!

Create word art in Silhouette Studio software.  Keep in mind size of the canvas so that you can figure out the size of letters you need to make.

Cut words out of cardstock or paper to check sizing and help with placement of wording and other embellishments.  TIP: Once you have your placing the way you want it, snap a pic on your phone, so you can refer back to it when you go to iron on your letters.

Using your word templates, cut fabric, and HeatnBond Ultra to fit word size.

Apply HeatnBond by following directions on the package to each piece of fabric by ironing to the back of the fabric.

At the same time, iron out any wrinkles your canvas may have in it.

Next cut each word out, using your electronic die cutting software.  Place fabric right side up on the mat.  The paper side of the HeatnBond will be adhered to the mat.

Following the directions on the HeatnBond package, iron letters to the canvas.  I used a pressing cloth over the letters and then held my iron down for about 6-10 seconds and just repeated until all letters were attached.

TIP: My white letters weren’t showing like I wanted them to, so I just traced them with a fine tip marker.TooltipText

Use Zots Medium Size Adhesive Dots to adhere other embellishments as you like. I cut extra leaves and vines out to add to my canvas.

Then hang your canvas and enjoy!!!  Hope you try to create these projects!  If you do, be sure to share on social media by using the hashtags #thermoweb and #decofoil.  Thanks for stopping by today!
