There is nothing I love more than a nice pair of soft snugly jammie pants.  I have been known to put on my jammies Friday after work and living in them all weekend (as long as I don’t have to leave the house).  When I received this flannel from Dear Stella I fell instantly in love.  I don’t think I have ever felt flannel this soft EVER.

I made a simple pair of pajama pants with a fun contrasting easy detail down the side seams.  Don’t be afraid to take your work up a notch even if it’s just for a pair of jammies.

Dear Stella Winter Cabin Fleece Jammies Instructions:

To achieve this detail cut out a 1″ strip from your coordinating fabric, one for each side or enough to work with what you are making.  Adhere the HeatnBond Soft Stretch Lite to one edge of the 1″ strip.  Peel off the paper backing.  Fold in half. Adhere wrong sides together.  This will give you a 1/2″ strip to work with.

When sewing the outside seams together sandwich in your 1/2″ detail piece and sew the seam as usual.  Note I used a 1/4″ seam allowance so 1/2″ detail piece worked for me.  If you use larger seam allowances then you would need to enlarge your original detail strip.

This simple added detail gives it the feel of Tuxedo pants, even if they are only for lounging around the house and for sleeping.  I love it and I can’t wait to wear the softest flannel jammies on the planet.
