Do you think of gnomes when you think of Spring?! Haha, I do! I love to have these little guys out in my flower beds. When I set these three out, I knew I had to do a layout with their fun colors.  And since DecoFoil™ comes in lots of fun colors, why not use the two together?!

And I have a fun way to use DecoFoil to show you, you can use it on chipboard with the new DecoFoil Adhesive Pen!

12″ inch Laminator

Other Supplies: Pattern Paper, Stickers, Die Cuts-Simple Stories; Twine-American Crafts; Doily-American Crafts; Chipboard Butterfly and Banners-Maya Road

Instructions:

Heat laminator for 20 minutes

While laminator is heating, decide placement of items going on layout.  Once decided, then adhere with Mini Tape Runner.  Cover chipboard base of butterfly with pattern paper, using the Sticky Dot Adhesive Sheets to adhere paper to chipboard. Press butterfly onto adhesive sheet and then adhere pattern paper to butterfly. Trim and sand as necessary.

Use the NEW DecoFoil™ Adhesive Pen to cover the top chipboard layer of the butterfly. You will need to work quickly, but make sure all parts of the chipboard are covered with the adhesive. Once covered, apply foil transfer sheet top.  Use a piece of cardstock to sit the chipboard on, place in parchment paper and run thru laminator.

NOTE:  You may want to test your laminator to make sure that chipboard will go thru it. This is Maya Road chipboard and I use the laminator that is on the Therm O Web site that is linked above. I have not had a problem with it jamming or getting stuck at all.

Adhere top layer of butterfly on bottom layer by using Sticky Dot Adhesive sheets.  Apply to layout.

Cover scallop banner pieces with the same method as the bottom layer of butterfly above.  Sand and trim as needed.  Cover middle banner piece with DecoFoil™ using the same method as top layer of butterfly above.
