Project Instructions:

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut1To begin, stamp, color, and die cut your image for the focal point of your card.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut2Select a solid color cardstock that works with your stamped image. Choose the sentiment you wish to use from the stencil, and place that section of the stencil towards the bottom of the cardstock. Trace the stencil openings onto the cardstock using the Deco Foil™ Adhesive Pen. Lift off the stencil and wash the residual adhesive off immediately.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut3Allow the stenciled adhesive to dry for several minutes. You want the adhesive to be tacky to the touch, but not come away on your finger. In the mean time, cut a small section of Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheet that is slightly larger than the area to be foiled.

Place the foil down onto the adhesive, with the colored side up and the silver side down. Place the paper strip between the cutting pads of your die cutting machine, and run it through your machine. Alternately, you can run the cardstock through a laminator, if you prefer.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut5Peel off the Deco foil transfer sheet, and check out your awesome foiled sentiment!

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut6Now the card is ready to be assembled, and here you can see how I’ve laid out my pieces to get an idea of my layout. I wanted to use a die cut frame that matched my patterned papers, but wanted to accent the bottom of the frame with my foiled sentiment. Super easy to do. Simply apply tape runner adhesive to the back of the sentiment, and adhere it to the bottom of the frame. Trim around the frame to remove any excess paper.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut7To attach the frame to the backing paper, place iCraft Easy-Tear tape strips along the edges of the frame. I used 1/2″ tape across the wider bottom, and 1/8″ tape along the thin top and sides. Peel off the protective liner, and adhere the frame to the backing paper. Trim around the backing paper to remove the excess.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut8Attach the die cut image using XL Memory tape runner adhesive. Pop up an accent sticker using 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for dimension.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard Tut9Wrap twine around the bottom of the frame, tying into a bow on the left side. Apply more 3D Foam Adhesive behind the frame, and then adhere it to the center of the card base. And finally, add a few sequins for a bit of extra detail using Fabric Fuse™ Liquid Adhesive to adhere.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil HeyThereCard3Here is the finished card with lots of great dimension from the layers of foam squares, and lots of beautiful shine from the foiled sentiment and sequins.
