Hi there! Erin from Sewbon here to share with you a super easy sewing project.
These fabric coasters are practical, beautiful, and make for a great gift. And the best part, these can be made in less than an hour from start to finish!
- Main fabric
- Accent fabric
- HeatnBond® Fusible Fleece
- General sewing supplies
To make four coasters, cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the main fabric, cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the accent fabric, and cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the HeatnBond® Fusible Fleece.
Attach a fusible fleece square to the wrong side of a main fabric square.
Pin the main fabric piece and the accent fabric piece right sides together and stitch around the edges of the square with a 5/8 inch seam allowance, leaving a 2 inch hole.
Clip the corners.
Turn the coaster right side out through the 2 inch hole and use a chopstick to push the corners out.
Tuck the edges from the 2 inch hole in and press the coaster.
Top stitch with a ¼ inch seam allowance around the coaster and press one last time.
Repeat for the remaining 3 coasters.
