Hi, it’s Mandy Koeppen sharing a Pinterest inspired layout with y’all today.

With Pinterest being so popular with everyone from teens to great granny’s, I of course had to hop aboard a few years ago.

I’m not a daily pinner but I do like to browse and pin every once in awhile so if the creative spark ever starts to die it can be lit back up in minutes. I love browsing and pinning designs from posters to tattoos.   This particular layout was inspired by this pin.

I love all the triangles in the different sizes and I knew right when I pinned it one day I would use it as inspiration to start a layout.

To create this layout you will need:

1 over sized photo(this one is 12inches wide by 8inches long) printed on cardstock or vellum or both

1 large title

various triangles cut from scrap paper.

Once you have all your supplies gathered(oops I forgot this photo. sorry.) using the therm o web Sticky Tab Mini Runner adhere the triangle into a pattern on a sheet of cardstock. 1-2 tabs stuck to the middle of the triangle will help keep them in the right place when stitching.  If sewing is not your thing simply adhere your triangles to the cardstock  using  the Memory Tape Runner XL™ .

After your triangle pattern is all in place on your cardstock begin stitching around the insides of each triangle.

The cardstock on this layout was hand cut and layered on another piece of pattern paper. This is option not everyone like the hand cut look.

This next step is where your photo comes in. If you chose to print vellum you can use the photo as is or if you want a more defined look layer your vellum photo on top of a photo printed on white cardstock. It gives your photo an aged look like it’s from another time not just months ago when you use the vellum. For this layout I chose to layer and adhere the vellum and cardstock photos with theVellum Adhesive Runner.

To add more dimension to the page adhere 3D White Foam Squares • 1/2 in to the bottom back 1/4 of the photo. Then use the Sticky Strip Runner™ on the top back of the photo.

Slide 3 Glitter Dust™ Photo Corners • Black Nickel to 3 of the 4 corners of the photo. Add 3D White Foam Square • 1/4 in to the backs of the photo corners and the lonely corner too.

Adhere your photo to the top of your layout.

Fussy cut or die cut a large title. Using the 3D White Foam Square • 1/4 in adhere the second word of your title to the bottom of your photo. Remember the lonely corner? It’s not lonely anymore. Right above adhere the first word of your title using the Memory Tape Runner XL™. *NOTE one of the title words will be flat on the layout while the other is dimensional.

Last but not least layer 5 Glitter Dust Photo Corners • Black Nickel to give you a row of arrows.  Once you have an arrow snip the excess parts so you have a row like this <<<<<.  Adhere the corners half layered on the photo and the other half will need 3D White Foam Square • 1/4 in .

A detail shot of the title dimension.

I hope I’ve inspired you with this triangular layout.
