Hanging Heart Decor Instructions:

Fold the bottom corners of one square of felt up so that they meet perfectly in the middle and create a point at the bottom. Cut two strips of Heat N Bond Lite that are the length of the fold. Trim them on a diagonal, and attach as pictured below. Use extra pressure since felt is thicker than standard fabric.

Now trim the felt off above the HeatNBond Fusible Adhesive. Use the small triangle that you cut off to trim the top of the heart into shape.

Use the small triangle one more time on the remaining corners to finish the heart. Use this heart as a template to cut a heart out of the second piece of felt. The second one doesn’t need to have the folded edges so just cut all the way around the heart.

Now attach the Heat N bond. Fold one side away to attach the first edge.

Close the heart and iron the second fold in place. Use a needle and thread to sew a ribbon or pom trim to act as a handle for hanging the heart. You can also use embroidery floss to create a fun trim around the heart. This will also help to hold the two pieces together (this is an optional step.)

I stuffed mine with fabric flowers. To create them I simply cut a long strip of fabric that measured about 4″. Then fold the fabric in half long ways and start wrapping the fabric around. Use the embroidery floss to keep the layers in place.

You could also add some DecoFoil or vinyl to the front with a fun saying. There really are so many fun options for this little guy. Fill it with goodies and leave it on someone’s door as a secret admirer! So fun!
