HeatnBond Dinosaur Embroidery Hoop Wall Decor

Hi friends. Alicia here again from Sew What Alicia. Today I am here to share a super fun project using embroidery hoops. Create an adorable embroidery hoop gallery wall using Heat N Bond and some super fun dinosaurs.

Heat N Bond Embroidery Hoop Wall Decor

Supplies:

Heat N Bond Lite Fusible Adhesive

Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive

Fabric

Embroidery Hoops 9″ – 12″

Dinosaur and Badge Template (SVG or PDF)

Dinosaur Hoop Instructions:

Cut one circle for each hoop that is several inches larger than your selected hoop.

Press a strip of HeatnBond Lite to a strip of black fabric. Use your cutting machine or hand cut the badges from the black fabric. Then press HeatnBond to a small piece of each color of the fabric. Cut your dinosaur from these colored pieces (again you can cut them by hand using the PDF template above or use the SVG and your cutting machine.)

Line up the dinosaur and the badge on the circle. You can press all the layers at the same time using a medium to heavy pressure.

The HeatnBond Lite is sewable. If you want to add some stitching with your machine now is the time to stitch around the dinosaur and/or the badge.

Then place your circle into the embroidery hoop. If you want to add any hand embroidery details do so now.

Last use the Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive to glue the fabric to the back of the hoop. Trim the fabric down before gluing if it is too long as it will bunch and cause rippling on the front of the piece.

Hang the hoops and enjoy!

I have included 6 dinosaurs and 6 badges. You could repeat the dinosaurs and move them to different badges if you want to make your gallery wall larger. Or use the badges and cut different objects for the hoops if you don’t want to use dinosaurs.
