Hello again, friends!  Missy here, and I have a fun and festive Christmas layout to share…not to mention extra shiny!  You know I love the look of foil on my pages, so I used a lot of it on this page along with some Carta Bella and Simple Stories goodies.  I used the Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Champagne and added lots of watercolors to the background to enhance the shine!

I began with some white cardstock and a fun digital cut file.  I cut it pretty large to take up most of the space on my page, and I decided to foil it.  I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel over it along with the Deco Foil to get that gold shine.  I love how it turned out!  I used blue, green and red watercolors with some plastic packaging on the background as well as some gold ink spray.  Details ahead!

Holiday Deco Foil Ho Ho Ho Mixed Media Layout Instructions:

To use the Deco Foil Transfer Gel, all you need to do is smooth it over your paper.  I used a palette knife and scraped it all over the cut file while it was still on my Cameo cutting mat.  Let it dry until it feels sticky and tacky.  Place the image inside a folded piece of parchment paper and place the foil (foil side up) on top of the image.  The parchment paper is kind of like a folder.  Feed it through a hot laminator and watch the magic happen!  When it comes out, simply peel away the excess foil and you’re left with a super shiny image.  I went with gold because I love using it on Christmas pages!

To embellish this page, I fussy cut some ornaments from a patterned paper from the Carta Bella A Very Merry Christmas collection.  I love those bright blues and deep greens.  I created two little banners or strings of ornaments across the page.  I used the iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive to glue them down, and then I stitched through the tops with gold metallic thread.

Funny story here…my cut file has some wavy texture going on because I accidentally fed it through my laminator crooked.  It got caught in there and I had to manually pull it out.  I thought it was ruined, but I saved it and now it has some character…haha!  I ran it through my sewing machine for some added interest.

I can’t resist photographing this shine!  It’s gorgeous!  It’s a lot of fun playing with all the foil colors and adding watercolors.  I love how this gold looks against the pretty blues!

I used minimal embellishments here.  I used a few of the Carta Bella stickers, including this adorable Santa.  I also used a few stickers from the Simple Stories Oh What Fun collection.

This was an adventure to put together, and I love how it turned out!  I think adding blue to a Christmas page is awesome, and adding gold just takes it to another level.  Make sure you check out my process video here and hopefully you’ll be inspired!
