Hey TOW fans! It’s Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue on the blog today to share a hybrid project with you. Hybrid, what’s that? It’s using digital scrapbooking supplies in a traditional way. Hybrid is a great way to make something exactly how YOU want it or with what you want to use. Ever go to the scrapbook store and cannot find that piece of paper you want? Well, hybrid kind of helps solve that issue, because there is a whole internet full of digital scrapbooking sites and designers to choose from! Hybrid Cactus Office Decor with Deco Foil
I wanted a fun office decor project (my coworkers like my crafty ability!) and cactus projects are fun and on trend right now! I found a digital scrapbooking kit that had a cactus theme and some fun elements that I could print. Then I got started on my project!

Hybrid Cactus Office Decor with Deco Foil Instructions:
Heat laminator for at least 20 minutes before using.
Print out pattern papers that you want to use (Note, I used three here and just printed on my regular inkjet printer on some Epson Premium Presentation paper. You could also just use cardstock)
Trim pattern paper that you want to use for the background to fit the frame. Use the backing piece to know exactly how big you need to cut your pattern paper because you will need to cut it slightly larger than your frame opening.
Next place your background paper in the frame behind the glass. Everything else used will be placed on top of the glass to give dimension to your project. Using the print and cut feature on your Silhouette print out the cactus on a laser printer using the different pattern papers that you just printed from the digital kit as your base. OR you can pull up a cactus clip art without using the Silhouette and run your pattern paper back thru your laser printer. Cut with Silhouette or cut by hand if you don’t have a silhouette.
Figure out placement of your elements before foiling to give you an idea of what colors of foils you may want to use.
Pick out foils to foil your images.
Run images thru laminator using the DecoFoil you have chosen.
Lay images on outside of glass using Zots Adhesive Dots and the Sticky Tape Mini Runner
Print a saying if you want, this one was included in the digital kit. I printed on the laser printer so that I could foil the saying.
And now I have a cute little project to sit in my office for the time being until I want to change it up!!
Thanks for stopping by the Therm O Web blog today!!!! Try some hybrid with DecoFoil! It’s fun!
