Hello there… Alice with you today sharing a sympathy card that none of us like to make, but nevertheless will need at some point.

I think that taking a little time to create a handmade card to let someone know you are thinking of them in their time of sorrow is a way to add a bit of extra love to your message.

The die cut dahlia on this card is incredibly detailed and it would be really tedious to use a liquid glue pen to add adhesive to the back. Enter Sticky Dots™ to the rescue! This oldie, but goodie, is still a fast and easy way to add adhesive to small or detailed pieces.

This is where my friend, Mr. Adhesive Pick-Up Square, comes in handy.

Adhesive Pick Up SquareSimply rub it over the edges and the dots will magically disappear. Best $2 you can spend! (This works well for picking up stray flakes of glitter too)

The sentiment was stamped and added to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love the bit of extra dimension this adds.

Trim off the ends and then attach to the card using a Zot™.

Even though this example has a sentiment for a sympathy card, it could easily be changed to make this card suitable for all sorts of other occasions from birthday to wedding. In fact, sometimes I will make up a batch of cards but leave the sentiments blank until I know which occasion I will be using the card for.
