Hey there! Chrissie here with you today and I am already in Halloween mode.  Is that crazy? I don’t think so.  As much as I love, love, love the summer, there is something about the Fall.  Honestly, I think it’s because Fall is the time when we normally vacation… And when we vacation as a family, we go to the most magical place on earth.  So, when I saw the new Simple Stories Say Cheese Halloween, I just about fell off my chair.  It combines my love of magic and Halloween into one collection!

Magical Halloween Cards with Glitz Glitter Gel

I used some Glitz Glitter Gel both with and without a stencil to show how completely awesome this stuff is.  I really can’t say enough about how I love my Glitz!

Magical Halloween Cards

For my first card, I combined two Glitter Gels together.  And I used my Stencil Pal to make it even easier on me.  I mean, how awesome is that stencil? This one is going to be used again and again in my house! I used some of the stickers that came in the Collection.  But, I added some ink to the top of them to soften them up a bit.  I used black card stock on all of my cards, so the bright white of the stickers just didn’t work.  No problem – I just added some ink!

This is another card with the stencil and collection pieces, but I only used Sweet Mango instead of combining it with Wild Lilac this time.  How much fun are those stickers? Plus, I added in some of the Bits & Pieces that coordinate.  It’s All Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus!!! 🙂

Next up, I wanted to do something a little different.  I really struggle with mixed media or using supplies in a non-organized way.  I think I love stencils because I have more control over what I’m doing.  So, I forced myself to just slap down some Glitz Glitter Gel using my Stencil Pal and palette knife (I used both).  I wasn’t sure if I would be happy, but I ended up really loving the result, especially the Black on Black!

I used the same supplies and Collection in all four cards, but they all look different! Two of them have more of that magical feeling and the other two are straight-up Halloween! Now that I’ve made these cards, the decorations are going up! It’s September, so it’s not too early, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! How do you like to use the Glitz Glitter Gel? I’d love to see what you create! Use #decofoil and #thermoweb so we can see your creations online!
