Hi there! Shemaine here and I’m excited to share a really fun project with you using our new iCraft Mixed Media Sheets. These earrings are a great gift idea and are easy to make. You will need a Cricut Explore and access to the Design Studio.

Therm-O-Web supplies:

iCraft® Mixed Media sheets (coming)

iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets

iCraft® MIxed Media Liquid Adhesive (coming)

Other Supplies:

Faber-Castell Gesso

Silver jump rings and fishhook earring

Project Instructions:

First you’ll need to cover the top portion of the Mixed Media sheet with Gesso. I used Faber Castell’s Gesso because it smooths on evenly. Let dry for 90 mins.

Next you’ll need to sign onto the Cricut Design Studio to cut the earrings. From the main page, use the drop down box and click FASHION, then scroll to Wood Veneer Feather Earrings and cut.

Earrings2

I used Heidi Swapp’s Color shine in Teal because I originally meant to foil the edges only but changed my mind. I loved the watercolored look of the new Deco Foil and decided to use because of the multiple colors. You of course can try that technique as well. Next use the iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive and paint brush to brush onto the feather dies. Let dry for 90 mins.

Earrings3

Once the mixed media adhesive is dry, cut the iCraft Lapis Watercolor Deco Foil to size and lay over the feather dies.

Earrings4

Using your fingers, rub the foil generously onto the feather die cuts and lift.

To finish the earrings, layer the smaller feather over the larger one and secure with a jump ring. Attach to fishhook earring and they are ready to be worn.
