Hello, Wendy here with a mixed media altered jumbo tag. This is one of those projects that is just plain fun to create! I started this project without an endgame in mind and let it take me where it wanted. I hope this inspires you to play with your Metallix and other supplies and see where it takes you.

Mixed Media Metallix Jumbo Tag Instructions
Cut a jumbo tag from lightweight chipboard and cover in two coats of white gesso.
Hint: In lieu of gesso use white acrylic paint.
Apply swatches of acrylic paint in different colors. Allow the paint to dry completely (or dry with a heat tool) and then spritz pigment sprays (I used Distress Sprays). Once the spray is completely dry, pounce some White Pearl Metallix over the entire tag surface using a scrunched up paper towel to add a metallic sheen to the tag base.
Hint: I used Distress Paints because they are permanent once dry and you can apply other liquids over them without them running.
Using your MISTI stamp platform, stamp the image at the top of the tag using waterproof ink and heat set the ink. Mix White Pearl Metallix with acrylic paint to create a colored Deco Foil Metallix. Use the colored Metallix to paint the image.
Hint: The more paint you use the less metallic the Metallix would look.
This is where my project took a little turn. Somewhere in this process, I realized that I was not as intrigued by the metallic properties of the Metallix as I was the dimensional properties. I painted a couple of layers of Metallix by dropping bits of the gel onto the image with a paintbrush. I allowed the Metallix to dry in between layers. Once I had some nice dimension on my image I painted it using acrylic paints.
Hint: Allow the Metallix to dry on its own; using a heat tool will cause it to puff up and then collapse.
Create a sentiment by lining up your cardstock in your stamp platform using MISTI Creative Corners, and trim it using the MISTI Cut-Align.
Hint: When using the Cut-Align, a bit of Purple Tape will help to anchor your sentiment while trimming with the Cut-Align.
Add your sentiment and enjoy your dimensional jumbo Tag!
