No Sew Holiday Poinsettia Wreath

Hi there!  It is Amy from Sew Incredibly Crazy.  This is my favorite holiday of the year, but truly I can’t believe that it is already December.  I think that it is always nice to have a couple new little decorations adorning the house.  This year is no different with the addition of this No-Sew Holiday Poinsettia Wreath. To make one of your own you will need.

Supply List for the No-Sew Poinsettia Wreath:

HeatnBond® Ultrahold – Cut slightly smaller than 6″ x 5 1/2″ pieces – approx. 60
HeatnBond Low Loft Wide Width Fleece – Cut slightly smaller than 6″ x 5 1/2″ pieces – approx. 60
Various Red Fabrics – Cut into 6″ x 5 1/2″ pieces – approx. 40
Various Green Fabrics – Cut into 6″ x 5 1/2″ pieces – approx. 20
Backing Fabric – Cut 6″ x 5 1/2″ pieces – approx. 60
Sizzix Tim Holtz Poinsettia Die
Sizzix Machine
12″ Foam Wreath
3″ Burlap Ribbon or any other than is preferred
Glass Topped Sewing Pins
Plastic Jewels


No Sew Holiday Poinsettia Wreath Instructions:

Step 1:  Hot glue the plastic jewels to the tops of the pins.  This wreath used approximately 40 pins.

Step 2: Wrap the foam wreath with the ribbon.  Try to keep it nice and smooth. When finished wrapping, glue the edge of the ribbon down onto the wreath.

Step 3: Grab the  HeatnBond® Ultrahold, HeatnBond Low Loft Wide Width Fleece, Red and Backing Fabric Piece.

Step 4: Iron the Fusible side of the HeatnBond Low Loft Wide Width Fleece to the back side of the red fabric.

Step 5:  Right side down iron the  HeatnBond® Ultrahold piece to the top of the fleece piece.

Step 6:  Remove the paper backing from the  HeatnBond® Ultrahold.  Iron your backing fabric piece (right side facing) to the  HeatnBond® Ultrahold piece.

Step 7:  Run the fabric/fleece sandwich through your Sizzix machine.

Step 8:  Repeat until there is approx. 40 Red Poinsettias.  Repeat to make the leaves.

Step 9:  Construct the flower using the jeweled pins.  Decorate as desired.

Step 10:  Hang wreath with jute or ribbon.
