Quick and Easy No Sew Bean Bags

Jen Chesnick - No Sew Bean Bags - Thermoweb-DIY

Hi Everyone, Jen Chesnick here today with another fun project from the Never Been Sitched book!  It seems a team member and myself liked the same project ;)  However I chose to go a different route.

_MG_1392 The Pretty Placemat Pillows tutorial gave me an idea for creating quick and easy bean bags for my daughter.  She loves getting in our way while playing cornhole, so I thought she would enjoy her own set.

I started with a fat quarter of Basic Grey fabric, PeelNStick™ Fabric Fuse Tape and some Split Peas.

Since my fabric was pre cut this made things go much more smoothly.  Simply peel and stick your fabric fuse to all four sides.

Leave one side of your tape covered while you fill with your peas (or beans or rice whatever you have) then close.  Just like that you have yourself a bean bag.  I made six in a matter of 30 minutes or.

  3. To be honest, Several of them! I always like to make up quick little journals and books. And lately, I’ve enjoyed crafting flowers from paper and fabric for multiple uses.

  1. […] Jen Chesnick from Say Chez shares a tutorial at Therm O Web showing how you can make these bean bags, quick and easy and with no sewing required.  She made a set of 6 in just 30 minutes.  If you used precut charm squares, I think you could make them even faster.  This project was inspired by a pillow project from the book Never Been Stitched by Amanda Carestio.  Go to Therm O Web for the no-sew bean bag instructions.
