Hello, Therm O Web friends! There’s nothing like pulling a bit of happy mail out of the post box, and with the current situation of quarantine and COVID 19, this holds true even more so than ever. So today I am sharing a festive and happy card that is sure to brighten up anyone’s day and fill a mailbox full of sunshine.

Sending Sunshine Card

This sweet card features two of our GinaK Designs stamps sets, along with the matching dies, crisp white Therm O Web cardstock, and the soft velvety texture of iCraft Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. These flocked sheets are so easy to work with and can be utilized in many different ways. They are easily cut, die-cut, or torn, and can be embossed, stamped, and so much more. Today I’ll share two different ways to use the flock sheet on this card project. Let’s take a closer look.

Sending Sunshine Card Instructions

To begin, create a standard horizontal A2 card base from Luxury White cardstock. Trim a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than the card base, and adhere the paper to the card front. Stamp the Hello Sunshine sentiment onto the right corner of the card using brown ink.

Trim a 2.25″ x 3.5″ piece of Luxury White cardstock. Punch a decorative border along the bottom of the panel using a border punch. Trim a .25″ strip of Sunshine Yellow Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet. Cut the strip into two small sections to fit on either side of the stamped sentiment. The flock sheets have such an amazing texture that simply using the sheets as-is adds a great element of detail to any papercraft project.

Ink the large flourish image from the Crazy Daisy stamp set in bright green ink. Stamp the image lightly once onto a piece of scrap paper to remove some of the ink, and then stamp the image again onto the panel of white cardstock. Adhere the panel to the left side of the card, flush with the top of the fold. Adhere the flock strips to either side of the sentiment using Ultra Bond liquid adhesive.

Stamp the large and small sunflower in yellow ink onto Luxury White cardstock. Stamp the outlines of both flowers in brown ink. Stamp four leaves in green ink. Stamp the flower centers in brown ink onto the yellow flock transfer sheet. Hold the dies in place over the images with Purple Tape, and then die cut all the pieces with the matching dies.

Assemble the flower centers using foam squares. Adhere the flowers to the card using additional foam squares.

Tuck the leaves in and around the flowers and sentiment and adhere them in place with Ultra Bond adhesive.

Sending lots of sunshine your way, friends! Be well!
