Happy #memademay my friends! And Happy Fashion Friday too! It is finally the most fun month in all garment sewing. A chance to show off your handmade gems. If you sew knit and haven’t tried out our new HeatnBond® Soft Stretch you are missing out! It is just perfection! Today Designer Kristen Wright shares a fun swing top featuring our HeatnBond® Soft Stretch!
Now I know May is already in full swing but it’s not too late to whip up this project and get it all ready for your showing off delight! Girl Charlee was so kind to pair with us in our new knit projects and I have to say their knit is BUTTERY! It’s just a dream to work with. And to wear!!!!
I just knew as soon as I saw this fabric that it would make the PERFECT Sew Caroline San Francisco Swing Top. I love the ease of her patterns and had been dying to try this one out. Sewing with knits is one of my favorite things to do because I use just my serger to do all of my seams and it comes out looking so professional.
Whenever I hem knits, I always struggle with getting a nice clean hem. Enter HeatnBond® Soft Stretch Light! It’s so easy to use and it’s SEWABLE! All you do is iron it to the edge of your fabric. Let cool. Fold and iron again and BAM! perfect hem all ready for sewing. I always iron with my Oliso smart touch iron because it really gets the job done, especially with knits.
Ok now that you see how EASY PEASY our new soft stretch is to use with your garments, you are READY to tackle a few #memademay projects before the month ends!
