Sunshine! A critical part of our health. Something I think many of us took for granted until recently. The next challenge became figuring out how to navigate social distancing while outside getting our Vitamin D. And now that the weather is finally cooperating and warmer, and restrictions are being lifted, we can enjoy that sunshine with a little more freedom. And, hopefully, appreciation! Something this layout is about; getting back in the water for swim practice. What better way to share the shine and shimmer of water and sun than with Glitz?

ThermOWeb Supplies;

The rays of the digital cut file sun are enhanced with the shimmer of Hello Yellow Neon Glitz Glitter gel for added shimmer. The tone on tone, while different shades of yellow, provide a pop to the patterned paper. Purple tape was used not only to temporarily secure the stencil to the working surface and prevent slippage while the Glitz was applied but it also served to limit the stencil usage to the single row desired. Perfection!

The sky is the limit when it comes to what you can do with DecoFoil Flock Transfer sheets! They are used here for the perfect contrast pop of color against the yellow sun rays to create clouds. Stamps were used to stamp directly on top of the flock which was then fussy cut, creating the perfect outlined clouds of various shades. Complimented well by the die-cut clouds from Illustrated Faith.

Gina K White Foam Tape is my all-time favorite for providing depth and layers in my layouts. Each of the three clusters has a cloud popped up on foam tape that is cut to just the correct size and provides the perfect “rise”. I’m picky about how far things pop up off the page and how much contrast there is between the bottom the layer and the top layer and this is the perfect amount, rivaling that of the puffy stickers and Thickers used to embellish the page.

Be sure to head over to the ThermOWeb YouTube page (or click the link below) for a detailed tutorial in how the Glitz was applied and how to stamp on Flock Transfer sheets then enjoy the remainder of the process video.
