Valentine’s Day is right around the corner so I thought it was time to make a sweet new stuffie. And isn’t this just the cutest little Valentine girl? She’s made with a few scrap pieces of fabric, ribbon, and lace it is sure to make a little girl feel special.  I have made several different variations of this girl and they all come out different and unique and they are so much fun to make and to give to that special little someone who might need a friend.

Sweet Valentine Doll with HeatnBond SoftStretch Instructions:

Follow the steps for the Simplicity Pattern to create the main pieces of your doll.

Tip:  Adhere the HeatnBond® Soft Stretch Lite Roll to the hair and the face pieces, when you apply it to the face it helps keep your stitching from showing through from the back.  I have more ideas for this very versatile pattern here.TooltipText

I love this little Valentine girl and you can’t have a fun pink side bun without the flowers.

I wanted to share a quick tip on cutting out these beautiful felt flowers with Gina K Designs Wafer Thin Dies. I love these flowers and find myself cutting them out all the time to add to my projects.

To get a crisp cut with felt and the wafer thin dies create a shim with a piece of scrap cardstock folded a few times.  This shim will give it the little extra height needed to get that nice crisp cut when you roll it through your machine.

Here is another little doll that I made using the flowers in a different way.  I hope this has inspired you to see other uses for your supplies, get them out and create and have fun.
