This week, the Therm O Web team has the great pleasure of joining up with our friends at Kindred Stamps! Today I have got two summer-inspired hunting and fishing style cards to share that feature Kindred Stamps’ adorable The Great Outdoors stamp set paired with some fun background panels made with Kindred’s basketweave stencil and our new Metallix Gel. A great way to add texture and shine to all your paper crafting projects.

Let’s take a closer look.

Great Outdoors Cards

To begin, stamp the images in copic-friendly black ink onto Luxury White cardstock. Color the images and cut them out.

Cut a 4″ x 5.25″ panel of Luxury White cardstock, and place it down onto your work surface. Spray the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray, and place the stencil over the paper. The spray keeps the stencil perfectly in place.

Spread Champagne Mist Metallix gel onto the curved edge of the Stencil Pal, and apply the gel over the stencil. Return any unused gel to the container. Remove the stencil, and set the paper aside to dry completely. Wash the stencil and Stencil Pal immediately with warm soapy water.

Once the gel is dry, die cut a circle from the center of the panel using the GinaK Designs Large Circle die set. Purple Tape holds the die perfectly in place for you. Set the center circle aside for another project.

Add a scalloped border strip behind the bottom of the circular opening, and then layer the frame over the stamped fisherman image and adhere them together using Gina K Designs Foam Tape adhesive. Layer the framed image onto kraft cardstock, and then adhere the panel to a white card base. Tie the side of the card with twine. Stamp a sentiment in blue ink onto white cardstock and trim. Embellish the card with punched white cardstock clouds and a strip of patterned paper. Pop the sentiment over the paper strip using foam adhesive.

The second card uses similar elements with additional paper strip details, a twine tie, and punched clouds. But for a bit of a different look, the stenciled panel is added on an angle.

Create an A2 card base from kraft cardstock, and layer it with white. Cut a smaller panel of olive green patterned paper, and stamp the duck image repeatedly in olive green ink. Adhere the stamped paper to the card. Repeat the Pixie Spray/Stencil steps above, but this time place the stencil on an angle onto kraft cardstock and apply White Pearl Metallix Gel. When the gel is dry, trim around the angled edge, and adhere the panel to the top of the card. Accent with paper strips and a twine tie.

Add foam adhesive to the back of the sentiment, clouds, and images, and add them to the card base.

Thanks so much to Kindred Stamps for the awesome stamps! And thanks to all of you for stopping by!
