It’s Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue!  I have created a fun, easy and quick to make banner that  you can keep for yourself or give as an “early” present for someone else to decorate with.  I love making banners and when you use a fun collection and some fun ThermOWeb products you cannot go wrong!

Make it easy and use a collection that has some embellishments that go along with it.  This will make creating stress free, faster and you won’t feel guilty about the time you are spending creating when you should be baking, shopping, wrapping, etc!

Start by tracing your banner piece on cardstock or copy paper.  This canvas banner from Maya Road has metal grommets to run the ribbon thru, so I measured from the bottom of the grommets down and the width.  Then I just trimmed my cardstock template until I liked the way the size looked when placed on the banner pieces.  Notice, my pattern paper pieces are slightly smaller than the canvas.  Decide on your papers and the order you want to place them in.  Attach with SuperTape™.

Merry_Banner_Therm_O_Web_Handmade_Holidays_Katrina_Hunt_1000Signed-2Embellish each banner pieces as it’s own little canvas.  You can add words, pictures or just make scenes on each banner piece.  It’s up to you and how much time you want to spend.  I had decided I wanted to use the word “merry” but I could have used “joy” to make this even quicker! Quickly create dimension by using the Therm O Web 3D Foam Squares to your project. I popped the trees, ornaments, letters and banners.

I used the DecoFoil Hot Melt Adhesive, DecoFoil Transfer Sheets in Gold, along with a fun font and my Silhouette Cameo to create my letters.  You get such a polished look when using the Hot Melt Adhesive with the laminator, I knew that was the look I wanted for the banner.

I always make some packaged note cards to give away at Christmas to friends and family. I also make spicy nuts and package them in mason jars for my husband, dad and father-in-law.
